This "home crisis" is something happening to a lot of people and you are not alone.

There is strength in numbers and things are starting to change, for the better, with reality arriving.

Government and other agencies and even at the lenders, who are starting to see that private individuals who invested their life time of savings in rental homes are a large part of the home owners involved here.

That and the huge number of homes involved can not continue to be ignored without the whole situation getting out of control.

Best thing to do is understand you need to take immediate steps and not ignore this, it is NOT going to go away. You must ultimately deal with it, and paying someone to take over unraveling the complications and the responsibilities for you often merely add another unnecessary loss to the problem.

You are not inventing the wheel, hundreds of thousands have already gone ahead of you and unlike animals who make the same mistakes their predecessors did, you can learn from those ahead of you.

We are researching this every day on what's working, what's not working and are involved ourselves with SEVEN underwater rental investor homes, in Arizona. Which as you know happens to be the worse hit state of the whole country in price drops (50%) and with homes the most underwater.

We happen to be in the vacation rental home business where our clients are travelers, or short term visitors. This segment of the economy has been hard hit with a 30% drop which puts the resorts and our competitors into sharp price cutting panic modes.

What we find is like most new to this have trouble dealing with reality. (We kept thinking it was going to turn around and we could just pour a little more money in it until it turns around.)

Then after losing huge amounts it became aware there was no turning around in sight, or as they say there really was NO light at the end of the tunnel.

There really was no point in continuing knocking yourself out if it only was going to get worse.

You may be at that stage.

Realizing, "we are fools to continue doing this." That is reality setting in.
